Our
research group works on nanoscale physics, with a focus on carbon-based
materials such as carbon nanotubes and graphene. Our goal is to understand how
the properties of nanostructures differ from bulk crystals and molecules. We
are also interested in nanomaterials applications, e.g., for thermal
management. For our research we use experimental (optical spectroscopy, Raman
scattering) as well as theoretical methods (density functional theory and
semiempirical calculations).
