B.58 Meilhaus Electronic GmbH DAQ card DIO subsystem
Most cards have more than a single DI/DO/DIO subsystem and for each of
them a module is needed. The
X in the module name stands for
the number of the subsystem. As many modules are generated
automatically as there are configuration files with a name of
X by a number between
0 and one less than the number of DI/DO/DIO subsystem of the
In the configuration file the board number, the subdevice number, the type of the device, the maximum number of channels and the "capabilities" have to be set. To find about those values use the program `utils/me_di_get_subdevices' with a board number as the command line argument (starting from 0), which outputs a descriptive string for the board and a list of all available DIs, DOs and DIOs.
Description: Module for controlling a DI/DO/DIO subsystem of Meilhaus DAQ cards ME-94/95/96. ME-630, 1000, ME-1400, ME-1600, ME-4610/4650/4660/4670/4680 and ME-6000/6100/6200/6300 (controlled via cPCI/PCI). This module requires that the kernel driver and library, available from the Meilhaus web site has been installed.
Please note: Due to the large number of supported cards the module could not be tested with most of them. It is instead assumed that the information from the Meilhaus manuals is correct, in which case the module hopefully works correctly. Some functionalities like selecting the mode may not be available, depending on the board type.
Controlled via: (c)PCI card (required Linux device driver and library can be downloaded from Meilhaus web site).
Status: Tested with ME-4680IS.
