B.72 Interface Technology RS690 Word Generator (Berlin 360 GHz)
Description: Interface Technology RS690 Word Generator, used as pulser for the Berlin 360 GHz spectrometer.
Timebase: internal clock 4 ns, 8 ns and 16 ns, external
clock 4 ns and longer (either via
Trigger-in: either via
ECL level input connector
Number of channels: 16 (4 per output connector) with internal 4 ns timebase or external clock, 32 (8 per output connector) with internal 8 ns timebase, 64 (16 per output connector) with internal 16 ns timebase
Maximum repetition time: 2,147,483,647 times the timebase with external clock or 4 ns internal clock (i.e. 8.59 s), 17.18 s with 8 ns internal timebase, 34.36 s with 16 ns internal timebase.
When using an external clock or the internal 4 ns timebase for certain pulse seqences the repetition time may be increases slightly (but never more than 3 times the timebase), with an 8 ns timebase the repetition time may become larger by 8 ns.
Controlled via: GPIB bus (IEEE 488).
In the GPIB configuration file use
"RS690" as the device name,
0xa as the EOS character, set
