General Scope
|
In view of the forthcoming survey of
the Collaborative Research Center SFB/TR49 in February 2015
the College for the Advancement of Postgraduate
Education (MGK) aims at triggering a deeper scientific networking among the involved PhD students.
To this end the participants at the next student seminar in Mainz
will be divided into different working groups corresponding to the respective topics
of the SFB/TR49. Within each working group the PhD students should then reflect upon
their individual research and how it can interact with the research work of other projects.
The results will then be presented within talks to all participants at the final day
of the student retreat. We hope that this new format is equally attractive for both quite new and more senior
PhD students, so that each project within the SFB/TR49 is represented at least by one PhD student at the retreat.
Furthermore, a guided sightseeing at Fortress of Mainz as well as
additional time allocated at the evinings allow for a socializing in
a relaxed atmosphere.
