Electronic Properties of Hg-1201 Oxide Superconductors Determined by NMR and STM Investigations
Cu nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) results are presented for several samples
of HgBa2CuO4+d (Hg-1201).
The spin-lattice-relaxation time T1 was measured in a temperature range of
300 K-10 K. For an optimally doped sample (Tc = 96 K) the comparison
with numerically calculated values is in coincidence with a d-wave pairing
model. The energy gap distribution of Hg-1201 is observed by spatially resolved
tunneling spectroscopy using a low temperature scanning tunneling microscope.
Two distinct gap values are determined indicating also a non-BCS pairing
mechanism.
