Abstract


Magnetic Properties of HgBa2CuO4+d with varying oxygen content

The influence of oxygen doping on the superconducting properties of HgBa2CuO4+d is studied. Ac and dc magnetization measurements on well defined samples (0.01 < d < 0.09) are performed. These measurements as a function of temperature show a parabolic-like behaviour of Tc(d). Analyzing the magnetization curves at T = 5 K yields an estimation of Hc1. The results show a reduction of Hc1 with decreasing oxygen content.
