Abstract

Superconductivity in Ba Intercalated C₆₀

Magnetization Measurements of samples with a Ba₆C₆₀ majority phase show superconductivity at a critical temperatue of T_c = 6.5 K. In the samples, having a nominal composition of Ba₆C₆₀, X-ray diffraction analysis reveals an additional phase Ba_xC₆₀ with x = 6. Possibly this phase could be responsible for the occurence of superconductivity.
