The Academy of Creative Endeavors began its activities in 1992, in Moscow, as an internationally orientated body embracing science, the arts and social issues in keeping with the principles of progressive academies of the world. As a new initiative in the field of science and the arts, the Academy of Creative Endeavors enhances and promotes various human activities on the basis of creative contributions by its members to scientific and social enterprises in their respective areas

 
 

The Academy of Creative Endeavors has among its members
distinguished personalities in science, the arts and social spheres: 


The Academy unites creative personalities and groups in diverse areas of science, the arts, culture and public life. Its purpose is to consolidate society using new progressive forms of organizing joint projects.


 
 

The Academy's main goals are:

The Academy of Creative Endeavors consists of full members (academicians), corresponding members and honorary members elected by the General Assembly or the Presidium of the Academy.

Full members of the Academy (academicians) may be individuals in science, education, the arts and sports, religious dignitaries, or businessmen who have made internationally recognized personal contributions to the development of various areas of human activities, who take part in the Academy's projects and recognize its Charter.

Corresponding members of Academy may be individuals in science, education, the arts, sports religious dignitaries, as well as businessmen who have made substantial personal contributions to the development of various areas of human activities, who take part in the Academy's projects and recognize its Charter.

Scientific, educational, industrial and arts institutions, sports societies and other organizations, whose work has received public recognition, may be also accepted into the Academy as collective members.

Members of the Academy have the right to set up, under the Academy's umbrella, institutes, creative laboratories and workshops in various fields of science, the arts and folk crafts as well as in sports and other spheres of human activities. The Presidium of the Academy adopts the Charters of such institutions, creative laboratories and workshops.

The Academy's Board for Coordination of Fundamental Research promotes fundamental work in the areas of science and the arts.

The Presidium of the Academy has the following main responsibilities:

General programs of the Academy are funded from the proceeds from self-financed institutes, centers, funds (independent legal entities) of the Academy, as well as through sponsorship, mostly by the members of the Academy elected for their achievements in business.

The scientific and cultural programs of the Academy are mainly carried out by associated institutes of the Academy and its members, in conjunction with other leading organization and firms in our country and abroad. The number of such programs corresponds approximately to the number of the Academy's institutes, over one hundred in total.
